A fundraiser, with colorful holiday decorations inspired by the Technicolor classic, “The Wizard of Oz.”

You are invited!

Dec. 7 (4-8 p): Members’ Complimentary Preview Party. Food, beverage and a sneak peek at this year’s masterpiece! Suggested donation: $10 per person.

Dec. 8-9 (12-5 pm): Public Tours. $12/adults; $8/children under 12. Members receive 1/2 off tickets! Tickets sold at door.

Dec. 10-11: Private Booked Tours. Experience King Caesar in private! Perfect for visitors, organizations & clubs. Call our office for information.

Did you know? The 1939 movie, “The Wizard of Oz,” starred 33 year-old Margaret Hamilton as the Wicked Witch of the West; Hamilton often visited Duxbury, staying at what was an inn owned by the Leonard family at 479 Washington Street (today, the Nathaniel Winsor, Jr. House and headquarters of the DRHS!).

Each year, we depend on more than 150 volunteers to make this event successful and we would love to have YOU help this year!
Room Decorators: join the fun, make new friends, support the DRHS & express your creativity.Professional decorators, groups of friends, organizations, or individuals are all welcome to participate and spaces large and small are available.
* Kitchen Elves: help organize and serve the delicious donated hors d’oeuvres at the Members’ Preview Party on December 7. A special, behind-the-scenes opportunity to help the DRHS. No experience necessary.
