Gone but not Forgotten: the Art of Mourning

This exhibit was inspired by the recent acquisition of Matilda Chandler Peterson’s 1826 Mourning Sampler, pictured here. DRHS Archivist and Historian, Carolyn Ravenscroft, and Collections Manager Claire Senatore will regale you with the fascinating story of this artifact and how it recently came into our possession.

It will be sad subject matter, but a very happy occasion!
