The Bradford House features the permanent exhibition, Four Bradford Daughters: Lives Well Lived, which contemplates the tumultuous changes of the 19th century, as experienced by the Bradford women. In 2025, the house will also feature our seasonal exhibit, Charting Her Course: Duxbury’s Women at Sea, which uncovers the stories of the Duxbury women who braved the oceans alongside their seafaring husbands.
The exhibitions are self-touring, gallery style installations in the family home. Tour guides are available for more information, or just for a chat! The exhibitions feature family-friendly and hands-on activities. An introductory video is available. More information on the house available at: http://duxburyhistory.org/historic-houses/bradford-house/.
In 2018, the DRHS received an Award of Merit (Leadership in History Award) for the project to “Re-imagine Bradford,” from the American Association of State & Local History (AASLH). #ReimagineBradford
