The art of flower pressing and study of botany has a long history in Duxbury. Come to the Nathaniel Winsor, Jr. House for an afternoon workshop learning and practicing the art of flower pressing. After learning and practicing flower pressing, students will learn how to make art from pre-pressed flowers. We will hear from DRHS Archivist and Historian, Carolyn Ravenscroft about the history of this craft and the study of botany. All attendees will go home with a flower press and their own artwork.
