The DRHS would like to highlight and thank two very talented volunteers, Madeline DiPalma and Maya Stahl.
Madeline and Maya, often working as a pair, trained as tour guides and worked at the DRHS historic houses during the summer of their Junior year.
In addition, they volunteered to help run many events, including Stories By The Sea, where they organized an entire boat building station for young visitors. Their contributions also include Holly Days at Nathaniel Winsor, Jr. House and Christmas at King Caesar.
Notably, Madeline and Maya reached out over the course of the pandemic, to see if they could do anything for the DRHS and when in-person volunteering wasn’t an option, they created a DRHS word search puzzle for Life on the Bay to help further interest in the DRHS.
This year, eager to return, both returned this summer and worked with the Art of Pressed Flowers event, staying until the last items were put away.
Good volunteers are as priceless as gold, but we are particularly fond of these two! The DRHS would like to express a warm “thank you” to Madeline and Maya for all their years of dedication and contribution to the DRHS. And we wish to say “congratulations” to both young women, as they graduate Duxbury High School and head off to new adventures.
